Pekárková, Markéta ; Šulová, Lenka (advisor) ; Mertin, Václav (referee)
This thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical section is devoted to adolescence, identity, gender identity and issues in formation of sexual identity in foster homes. The empirical part describes the process of research and summarizes the research results. The research was conducted in qualitative way. For this research was created semi- structured interview. Data were processed in several ways: non-parametric tests, Wilcoxon test and Mann-Whitney rank test; descriptive ways of creating a category or simple description of the phenomenon. The attention of research was mainly focused to the characteristics of a woman, men, boyfriend/girlfriend, me, mother and father. The results show differences between the experimental and the control group, especially in some characteristics relating to oneself within partnerships, award-winning fact to be someone within the relationship, the negative elements in the social representation of "Me". The research gives an insight on the issue. Its qualitative nature reveals the characteristics mentioned by respondents, rather than to seek confirmation of relationships. Power in the Helping Professions. Power in the Helping Professions with regard to the Specific Environment of a Czech Orphanage.
Balická, Kateřina ; Ulrichová, Monika (advisor) ; Hudcová, Eliška (referee)
1 Abstract The aim of the thesis 'Power in the Helping Professions' is to describe the specifics of power in the relationship between the helping party and the recipient of the help. The work presents possible theoretical concepts through which we are able to analyse power relationships within helping professions. Furthermore, the thesis highlights the theory of the dependency triangle. The theory can be used to better understand the relationships in which power is used to meet the needs of the 'more powerful' party in the relationship. In the second part of the thesis, the issue of power is embedded in the orphanage setting and, in the educator-child relationship in the orphanage. This part offers an application of the dependency triangle concept for the purpose of power positions and power relationships reflection among the helping professions.
Art therapy in foster family: Art therapy as a tool of social worker when working with foster family
ADÁŠKOVÁ, Gabriela
This bachelor's thesis introduces the possibilities of incorporating art therapy techniques and topics into case work. The author presents some specifics of foster care and presents insight into guidance of foster families. The thesis briefly discusses the history and present of foster care, mentions the issue of child and family adaptation and focuses, among other things, on the early trauma and psychosocial deprivation of the foster child and the reflection of trauma and psychological hardship in the child's artistic creation. The author used art therapy as a tool of the case worker to support communication in the foster family and to build a positive identity of the adopted child. In the practical part, the author presents concrete examples of incorporating art therapy into case work with the foster family, and above all with a foster child - innovative work with the so-called Book of Life (Kniha zivota in czech). The thesis investigates, among other things, whether early trauma and psychosocial deprivation are reflected in the development of adopted children and whether the mitigation of trauma due to the influence of the family environment is evident. The thesis also outlines the issue of biological children in a foster care and looks for distinctiveness in their artistic expression.
